Accepted by the Navy on 25 March 1964, the museum's S-2E Tracker joined Antisubmarine Squadron (VS) 28 at Naval Air Station (NAS) Quonset Point, Rhode Island, and subsequently made numerous deployments in the carriers Wasp (CVS 18) and Essex (CVS 9)
